2. Learn the New Skill of Blogging

The skill of blogging provides lifelong benefits. Once you learn how to blog, you can do blogging for years, whether for hobby or income purposes.

Blogging does require some work and commitment to learn. The effort and challenge of learning can be exciting and fun. It will certainly be very rewarding in the long run once you have mastered blogging.

3. Build Your Expertise in Your Areas of Interests

You may feel like you know quite a bit already, or that you have a lot to learn yet about your chosen blog topic. Both of these are quite normal thoughts and feelings for bloggers, and you may find yourself going back and forth between feeling like an expert and feeling like you have a lot to learn.

Regardless of your level of expertise starting out, you will become even more knowledgeable about your blog’s topic area the more you blog. Becoming an expert is part of the natural progression of blogging.

The amount of time you spend doing research and gaining background info may vary depending on the level of knowledge and experience in the topic area when you start. But rest assured, you will become more of an expert with every post you research, write and publish.

4. Share Your Knowledge

Many bloggers enjoy the ability to share their knowledge with others.

We don’t like to see others struggle or have difficulties. Sharing what we know can provide great benefit to others.

It also can help you feel good when you consider the help you are providing. It can help give your life meaning and purpose.

5. Build Relationships with Like-Minded People

6. Flexible Scheduling

If you want to work hard one month and take the next month off, you can. Simply preschedule everything out a month early and you are good to go.

You don’t want to work over Christmas, no problem. Want to shorter hours during the summer when kids are home? No need to ask permission, just plan it out in advance or adjust your schedule and go for it. No boss is going to tell you no.

The best part is, it is all up to you. No “boss” will tell you when, where, or how to blog.

You can set your goals and adjust them if or when life throws you a curve ball.

Blogging is not all or nothing. You can have more intensity during times that suit you, and schedule out or coast through times that are more chaotic. This is a huge advantage compared to a typical 9 to 5 job.

8. Collaboration

As an online expert, you will have unique opportunities to share your expertise with other experts and their audiences.
